This 3-Day training class is designed specifically for contractors. In this training, you will learn basic and advanced Xactimate from one of the industries top Xactimate Certified Trainers. You will learn the tools within Xactimate to help you be successful when working an insurance loss. You will also learn the proper packaging of your estimate to present to the carrier for quicker payments. This class will teach both Xactimate Desktop and Mobile.
PROGRAM OVERVIEW
Frustrated when handling a roof replacement or remodel when trying to deal with the Insurance Carrier?
This course will help you navigate Xactimate and learn proper techniques for importing your company logo, creating estimate disclaimers, and proper estimate order to increase your profits and turn-around time in collecting your payments.
The 3-Day Class will teach the essentials of Xactimate Desktop, Xactimate Mobile, and writing effective Insurance Estimates. The instructor has 19 years of hands-on experience working with the Insurance Carriers and understands how to properly write an estimate that will get approved by the carrier quicker, and for what you need to successfully complete the project for your client while still ensuring the project was financially worth your effort.
You will need to bring your laptop and mobile device (tablet or smartphone) for the best experience. Please have a working copy (live or demo) of Xactimate installed prior to the training class. For Xactimate Mobile, you will need to have the Professional license of Xactimate. (The demo copy provides the Professional version and will work for both Desktop and Mobile).
WHAT TO BRING
Please bring your PC based laptop with either a live working copy, or a live working Demo copy of Xactimate installed. Please make sure to bring your power cord for your laptop to ensure you can work all day during the training. Xactimate is not supported on a Mac or Chromebook computer.
For the Xactimate Mobile training, a compatible Apple iOS or Android device is required. A compatible Disto Bluetooth device is recommended, but not required.
XACTIMATE REQUIREMENTS
Xactimate X1 is required. If you are going to be utilizing a Demo copy of Xactimate, you can reach Xactware Sales @ 800-424-9228. You can also follow this link to sign up for the Demo copy of Xactimate. For any problems with Xactimate, please reach their online support team at their website.
You can also purchase a training manual from Xactimate as an additional resource. We do use this manual as a guideline for the training, but do not follow it in its entirety. You may purchase the workbook by following this link.
MOBILE TRAINING EQUIPMENT
Xactimate Mobile can be run on any current Apple or Android tablet or smartphone. My recommendation is that you run Xactimate Mobile on an Apple iOS device (phone or tablet) for the best experience. The Mobile app does not run on older versions of these devices. It is also not compatible with Microsoft Surface tablets or Kindle devices. MEASURING DEVICES
Xactimate Mobile has partnered with Leica to enhance your mobile experience. If you are interested in linking your laser measuring device to your tablet or phone for use in Xactimate Mobile, Leica is the only brand that can link to the software. The devices are known as a DISTO. The compatible models are D1, D2 and E7500. They start at around $75 and are available for purchase online through Home Depot and Amazon. There are likely other sources online where you can also find these devices. While not a requirement, I do highly recommend the DISTO for use with mobile to speed up your time in the field.
